In 2013, the new “SESAMI Program (Strategic Entrepreneurship and Sustainability Alliance Management Initiatives)” was launched, consisting of Master’s and Ph.D. programs.

The general aim is to advance the frontiers of knowledge and practice in the fields of strategic entrepreneurship and sustainability alliance management, building on a thorough and in-depth understanding across a range of management disciplines.

In the wake of its success, in April 2015 the Master’s component of the SESAMI Program (SESAMI Master’s Program) was developed into Global Master Programs, together with Economics and Law, to broaden the scope of studies and strengthen global leadership education.

The SESAMI Program now consists of a one-and-a-half-year Global Master Program, and full Master’s and Ph.D. Programs.

The first Faculty of Business Administration in Japan to deliver continuedOutstanding Achievements from Kobe University

In 1902, the former Kobe Higher Commercial School was established as the second public school for commerce studies in Japan. In the decades that followed, along with two other schools, it has contributed as a top academic institution in this field.

Carrying on that tradition, Kobe University was founded in 1949 and established the first Faculty of Business Administration in Japan, focusing on the fields of management and accounting.
Since then, it has continued to contribute to research and education in the sphere of business administration.

As the first business administration school in Japan, the Graduate School of Business Administration has a unique history and holds an important position in academia. The school offers a Ph.D. Program, an MBA Program, and an Undergraduate Program, which allow students to pursue their own specific goals.
